About Research
This research is being taught at King Saud University
His innovative ideas have touched all of our lives whether we know it or not. He truly was a pioneer in his field of work. Whether it was the use of computers, cellphones, or even movies Steve Jobs left a lasting legacy. His accomplishments will forever be remembered just as pioneers before him are.
I would recommend that KSU open various satellite campuses around the world. This will make sure their international base grows, in line with their mission to “serve national and international societies.” I would also suggest creating more awareness about the University, and the services it offers, through more media advertisements. In the surveys taken 50% of students indicated they learned of the school from their friends and 50% said from other sources. KSU should also invite a lot of noble professors or lecturers, both local and international to lecture students. Surveys of the staff showed that 67% of the faculty rated 4 out of 5 in terms of work culture, work environment, and job/life balance. These numbers would entice more qualified professors. On the other hand another survey indicated only 40% would recommend the University to their peers. This percentage is troubling, which is why the staff needs to be more diverse. This I believe will make the school more appealing. On the other hand, guidance counselors and mentors should be provided for each and every student. The students should be advised on the advantages of getting good grades, and encouraged to graduate as well, so that they can secure better jobs in the future.
The management of King Saud University needs to increase employees’ benefits and improve their pay structure. They also need to be more professional about their administration, and create more avenues for staff growth and advancement.
Finally, I would recommend that King Saud University keeps forging ahead, and continue to keep abreast of latest development and technology, so as to implement it into the curriculum.
If you are able to understand your students you are able to encourage or motivate them, and that relates to one of the seven habits of highly effective people. The fifth habit says “Seek first to understand, then to be understood”, this idea encourages a leader to try to understand the followers instead of just trying to be understood (Covey 2004). The leader needs to understand in what way the followers are motivated to improve his or her effectiveness.
The personal action plans that I have created for myself will help me and show me the way that I have to improve myself. If I use the personal action plans now and in the future, they will lead me to be a better person and a better leader.
This study has shown that the use of technology as an educational tool is very beneficial as perceived by the student. Through research studies similar to this one, educational facilities can come to the realization of what specific technologies are the most beneficial in the classroom and which ones are not as helpful to the students. They can use this information to determine what technologies are worth investing in and what technologies would be better left out of the classroom. This type of information can also be used to help educators understand the differences in education between two countries (in this case Saudi Arabia and the United States). Furthermore, this type of research study can help educators understand the influence of different factors on a student’s preference of learning devices, such as whether being a certain age gives the students a preference of one type of technology over another.
Although this study did contain some limitations, the overall outcome of this research study was conclusive. The limitations of this study included that there was no identification of incomes, that the study was only conducted at one small Midwestern university, that the study was concluded only one time, and that the study was not concluded over a period of time. Furthermore, there was no consideration taken for things like visual or auditory impairment which could have had a major impact on the technological preference of the student. Each of these things could have been a limiting factor for the results of the study.
There are many things that make a leader great. Without even the most basic leadership qualities and skills, a person with the desire to be a leader cannot succeed. Leadership requires several different skills such as charisma, strength, confidence, foresight, empathy, and determination.
