Dr. Mehdi Tlija has B. Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Monastir, Tunisia. His master’s research was in the framework of a cooperation with the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivieres (UQTR), Canada. His doctoral work was in cooperation with the Higher Institute of Mechanics of Paris (SUPMECA), France.
Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Industrial Engineering Department, King Saud University. Dr. Tlija taught graduate and undergraduate students in several institutions: Higher Institute of Applied Science and Technology of Sousse (ISSATSo, University of Sousse-Tunisia), National Engineering School of Monastir (ENIM- University of Monastir -Tunisia) & National Engineering School of Sousse (ENISo- University of Sousse -Tunisia). Also, he assisted Tunisian and International companies, as R & D consultant, in developing innovative projects.
In the context of several projects, Dr. Tlija was a member of several national and international research teams. He contributed to the supervision of several research masters and the co-supervision of six doctoral theses. His research interests focus on Mechanical System Design and Manufacturing, CAD/CAM/CAE integration, Tolerancing and Inspection, and Additive Manufacturing. He published several papers in leading journals of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.
