Samiyah Mohammed Al-Shehri is a 2010 graduate of King Saud University, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy. In the same year, she worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy. In 2014, after joining the scholarship, she earned a master's degree in clinical pharmacology with distinction from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. Then she was promoted to lecturer in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, College of Pharmacy. She joined the Department of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom in 2015 to study for her PhD. She studied under Dr. Rothwell Tate. In 2020, she was awarded a PhD in Philosophy in Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences. She also obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Development for Researchers from the University of Strathclyde, UK. My research field during my PhD focused on the stimulators of bile receptors, which are considered a type of known G protein (GPCR), and their effect on pulmonary blood pressure, along with their mechanism of action and functional pathways in molecular cells. In addition, she is interested in hematology and blood vessels. This includes those related to diseases of the pulmonary arteries resulting from the formation and change of the shape and function of pulmonary arterial vessels. She is also interested in many areas, including chronic diseases and genetics.
