Bio
Raniah Aldekhyyel is an Assistant Professor in health informatics at the College of Medicine, King Saud University. Dr. Aldekhyyel holds a Ph.D. in health informatics from the University of Minnesota. She also holds serval certificates in leadership and management and is a certified Continuous Professional Development champion.
Dr. Aldekhyyel’s research interests include leadership in healthcare, the evaluation of consumer engagement systems, mhealth, telemedicine, medical education, and exploring the use of social media and patient generated health data for research purposes. She also has specific training in qualitative research methods, reflected by her published work in this area.
Dr. Aldekhyyel served a two-year term on the JAMIA Editorial Board as student in 2017. She has over 20 research publications and has received several awards for her research work, including a recent research grant from the School of Nursing Foundation, University of Minnesota in 2022, the Martin Epstein Award in 2016 by the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Scholarship Award, Minnesota Chapter in 2018.
