o   Doctorate in Science and Techniques of Translation (Arabic-French-English), Higher School for Interpreters and Translators ( ESIT  www.univ-paris3.fr/esit), Sorbonne, 1984.

o   Professional Translator's Diploma ( Arabic-French-English), ESIT, 1979.

o   Master of Arts in Translation ( Arabic-French-English), ESIT, 1979.

o   Bachelor of Education (English and French), University of Khartoum www.sudan.net/uk/ , 1971.

 

Employment history:

  Assistant Professor at the following universities:

o   University of Khartoum: 1984-1990.

o   University of Benghazi, Libya: 1990-96.

o   King Saud University: since 2004 (1425 AH).

  1- Theoretical courses:

               1- Issues and Problems of Translation, level 10. I started the course in 1998 and continued to teach it for 9 years.

               2- Stylistics, level 5, two semesters.

               3- Contrastive analysis, level 5, two semesters.

1- Legal translation, level 9. I started the course in 1998 and continued to teach it for 9 years.

2- Military translation, level 6, three years.

3- Translation in the field of humanities, level 5, one semester.

4- Translation in the field of education, level 6, one semester.

5- Translation in the field of administration, level 6, one semester.

 

 

3-    Interpreting:

a-     Consecutive interpreting, level 8, for 4 years.

b-    Bilateral interpreting II, level 10, for two years.
