Dr. Basil AsSadhan

Bio
Dr. Basil AsSadhan is an associate professor at the Electrical Engineering Department at King Saud University. He is currently the deputy secretary general for gifted services at King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness & Creativity (Mawhiba). He was formerly the dean of admission and registration of the university. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, USA.

Dr. AsSadhan's research interests are in the areas of: cyber security, network security, network traffic analysis, network anomaly detection, statistical signal processing, and machine learning and pattern recognition. He is the author of a book and has published his research work in several scientific journals and conferences. He has been certified by GIAC as an intrusion analyst (GCIA), and is the recipient of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) Scholar Award.
