Assistant Professor of Astrophysics at King Saud University, with research interests in observational astrophysics, particularly the study of quasars and active galactic nuclei using large astronomical survey data. I teach physics and astronomy at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and enjoy mentoring students and supporting their research development. My work involves scientific computing with Python and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques in data analysis. I am also actively involved in academic accreditation, curriculum development, and community engagement in science and astronomy.
areas of expertise
My areas of expertise span research, teaching, and academic development, with a strong focus on astrophysics and modern data-driven approaches. They include:
Astrophysics and the application of fundamental physics to astrophysical phenomena
Observational astronomy, including photometric and spectroscopic data analysis
Galaxy evolution and star formation processes
Quasars and supermassive black holes
Physical properties of the interstellar medium
Use of artificial intelligence and machine-learning techniques in astronomical research
Analysis of large-scale astronomical surveys using computational and programming tools
Curriculum design and development in physics and astronomy
Academic quality assurance, program accreditation, and curriculum alignment
Student supervision, mentoring, and research guidance
