IT 325 Operating Systems

This course is an introduction to the basics of computer operating systems. It is intended to cover many of the concepts related to most of the actual Operating Systems. Topics include computer system and operating system structures, operating system principles and services, processes and threads (communication, synchronization, deadlocks…), concurrency, CPU scheduling and dispatch, memory management and virtual memory, device management and file systems.
