Graduation Project (2)

The course implements what has been developed in the previous course of Graduation Project (1), in great details of elements of the architectural project. Students are expected to work independently on their architectural projects. Additionally, students must demonstrate a high performance which they have been developing over the years in the College, meeting the professional standard required to practice within the rich context of the architectural discipline.

This course is the second part of the Graduation Project. In this course, the student is required to use the architectural program developed in Arch 434 Graduation Project 1 to develop an architectural design project that expresses the abilities of the student and show developed technical, artistic and professional abilities.

This studio focuses on the definition of the design problem, (the project), concept formation and alternative design concepts. Preparation and development of the preliminary architectural design. Development of design incorporating the concepts of engineering systems used. Preparation of the volumetric configurations of the masses and interior spaces of the project. Finalization and presentation to the final Jury panel for evaluation. Computer modeling and presentation techniques are encouraged during all phases of the design in addition to freehand sketching.
And this includes:
1. Defining the design problem
2. Development of architectural concept
3. Preliminary design
4. Development of preliminary design
