CHS 269 (nutritional epidemiology)
The purpose of this course is to introduce student to the basic concepts of nutritional epidemiology, its goals and objectives as well as its advantages and disadvantages. Measurement of diet in epidemiologic studies, nutritional surveillance and monitoring as well as studies used in nutritional epidemiology will be included. The course will also cover the epidemiology of some nutrition related health problems e.g. cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity.
