BS Course: IS 486: Cloud Computing
This course provides the students with the theoretical foundations of cloud computing covering topics such as cloud architecture, data centers, virtualization, hypervisor CPU and memory management, compute systems, network devices, storage devices, and resource management. This course also explores the cloud computing models of Public, Private and Hybrid and their use cases. Additionally, cloud service types including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) are also
discussed. Product and open-source examples are included to reinforce the concepts and technologies learned in this course.
