I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences at Omdurman Islamic University, graduating with highest honors. I also hold a Master of Science degree in Microbiology from the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Sudanese Academy of Sciences, graduating with highest honors. My PhD in Medical Bacteriology and Biotechnology is from King Saud University, College of Science. My research interests include bacterial pathogenesis and mechanisms of antibiotic resistance.
