PROF. DR. FAHAD NASSER ALMAJHDI CV
A proficient in molecular virology, pioneer in the development of vaccines and diagnostic tools for identification and prevention of human respiratory viruses and other prevalent viruses in Saudi population. Vast experience and enormous contribution in several managerial responsibilities apart from research and teaching.
Joined King Saud University’s Department of Botany and Microbiology in year 2002. In addition, have outstanding track record in basic and translational research as a principal investigator of competitive local institutional grants. Collaborator and Co-investigator in a number of international grants and Co-inventor of several patent applications in molecular diagnosis, bringing almost two decades of significant experience in the development of leading research and education programs in molecular virology. Author of more than 46 refereed publications, membership in several scientific societies.
Current research interest is focused on the biology of the emerging viruses of human respiratory viruses circulated in Saudi Arabia.
