This clinical course focuses on the implementation of selected aspects of the clinical nurse specialist’s role. A variety of clinical settings and experiences provide opportunities for implementation of consulting, management and collaboration skills. Emphasis is placed on formulating nursing strategies to assist families to cope with illness and health problems. Clinical experiences provide for the application of data-based theory to nursing care and the assessment and management of the chronically ill child.
