Dr. Lubna Y. Ashri is an academic researcher and educator with over two decades of experience in pharmaceutical sciences at King Saud University. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Pharmacy from King Saud University and completed her PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in 2016.
She currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics, where she contributes to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervises graduate research, and participates in academic development and accreditation initiatives.

Dr. Ashri has supervised numerous master’s and undergraduate research projects and has published in leading journals including Pharmaceutics, Scientific Reports, and Saudi Pharmaceutical Journal. Her recent work focuses on γ-cyclodextrin metal–organic frameworks for pharmaceutical applications, particularly improving drug loading, stability, and delivery performance.
She is also actively involved in academic quality assurance, postgraduate program development, scientific reviewing, and professional service within the College of Pharmacy.
