Dr. Faisal Kamal Zaidi is a Professor in the Department of Geology and Geophysics at King Saud University, Riyadh. A hydrogeologist by training, he obtained his PhD from NGRI/Aligarh Muslim University and has over two decades of academic and research experience in India, Europe, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His work focuses on groundwater resources assessment, groundwater quality and hydrochemistry, and managed aquifer recharge in arid and semi-arid regions, with a strong portfolio of projects across Saudi Arabia. He has previously worked with UNESCO in New Delhi and BRGM in France and has led or contributed to numerous national projects on aquifer characterization, groundwater modeling, geohazards, and geothermal resources. Dr. Zaidi has published extensively in peer reviewed international journals, contributed to several books, and supervised graduate research in hydrogeology and geospatial applications.
