The major focus for this course is to develop the awareness among the student about scientific laboratory, general microbiology and analytical techniques.
Course content:
Introduction about precautionary measures and bio-safety of laboratories.
Sterilization techniques
Biological solution and Buffers
Microbial cultivation media
Isolation of various microbes from different sources (Soil, water, Air, Plant parts)
Preparation of microbial slides (Simple staining and Gram staining)
Fungal staining
Instruments: Microscope and Centrifuge
Antibiotics susceptibility test
Enzyme activity
