استهدف البحث تقديم تجربة السنة التحضيرية بالجامعات السعودية في ضوء المنظور العالمي والممارسة المحلية. وقدم البحث مجموعة من الأفكار والتصورات التي تؤسس لرؤية شاملة لتطوير السنة التحضيرية في الجامعات السعودية. ولتحقيق هذا الهدف قسم البحث إلى قسمين. القسم الأول تناول مسحاً عاماً للمنظور العالمي والممارسات المثلي للسنة التحضيرية. أما القسم الثاني فيركز على مراجعة الممارسة المحلية للسنة التحضيرية في الجامعات السعودية. واختتم البحث بمعاناة تطبيق السنة التحضيرية في الجامعات السعودية من غبش وضبابية الإطار البيداغوجي لعمليات التدريس. وبذلك يجب أن يكون التركيز منصباً على تدريس الاستراتيجيات والأساليب والكيفيات المرتبطة بمهارات القراءة والكتابة والاتصال والتفكير والبحث بمفاهيمها الوظيفية وليس تدريس المحتوى. وأوصى البحث بضرورة اقتراح تأليف كتب متميزة لتدريس مواد السنة التحضيرية والتي تعالج الجوانب المهارية. حيث أن الكتب الجيدة قليلة في هذا المجال وبعض الكتب التجارية ليست بالمستوى المطلوب وتضطر بعض الجامعات والكليات لاقتباس مفردات المهارات الدراسية من كتب ضعيفة. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018

The research aimed to present the experience of the fresh year in Saudi universities in the light of the global perspective and local practice. The research presented a set of ideas and conceptions that set a comprehensive vision for the development of the fresh year in Saudi universities. To achieve this goal, the research is divided into two sections. The first one dealt with a general survey of the global perspective and best practices for the fresh year. The second section focused on reviewing the local practice of the fresh year in Saudi universities. The research concluded with the suffering of the application of the fresh year in Saudi universities from the blurry of the pedagogic framework of teaching processes. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on teaching strategies, methods and competencies related to reading, writing, communication, thinking and research skills including their functional concepts rather than teaching content. The research recommended the need to propose the creation of distinct books to teach the fresh year curricula that deal with the skills aspects as there are few good books in this field and some commercial books are not at the required level so some universities and faculties are forced to quote the vocabulary of study skills from weak books..This abstract created by Dar Almandumah Inc. 2018
