·       Part-time consultant (2007-2009) and then fulltime consultant (2009-2014) for Saudi food and drug authority (SFDA). During this period, appointed as an executive director of products’ evaluation and standards’ setting at SFDA (2012 – 2014). The main duties and tasks included revision and approval of the quality part of pharmaceutical products and bioequivalence studies of generics for registration in Saudi Arabia and GCC (gulf cooperation council) countries. In addition, the tasks included participation in setting up and reviewing standards and guidelines for drug registration and regulation in SFDA and GCC.

·       Member, Gulf central committee for drug registration in the GCC countries (2012-2014).

·       Member, drug registration advisory committee, SFDA, Saudi Arabia (2009 and 2010).

·       Member, herbal products’ registration advisory committee, SFDA, Saudi Arabia (2009 and 2010).

·       Chair for ٍٍSFDA and GCC inspection teams to several national and international pharmaceutical manufacturing sites and “contract research organizations”.

·       Analysis of drugs and metabolites in biological fluids.

·       Analysis of drugs in pharmaceutical dosage forms.

·       Quality control of pharmaceutical dosage forms.

·       Pharmacokinetic studies in animals and human subjects including bioequivalence studies.

·       Drug metabolism and assessment of drug metabolizing enzymes.

·       Drug interaction studies both in vitro and in vivo.
