I obtained my Ph.D. in Operations Research from Case Western Reserve University, USA. I currently work as a Professor in the Department of Statistics and Operations Research , College of Science , at King Saud University. I held the position of Head of the Department for eight consecutive years. I performed administrative and consulting work for many governmental and private agencies. My research interests are primarily on the development and use of optimization methods in general, and on mathematical modeling in particular, to make optimal decisions for diverse applied problems.
