We present a polarization independent dual-band resonator array inspired by complementary electric-inductivecapacitive (C-ELC) resonators for electromagnetic energy harvesting and wireless power transfer. To demonstrate the viability of the polarization independent dual-band energy harvester based array, we used a full-wave numerical simulation tool to design an 8 × 8 array of a complementary electric-inductive-capacitive resonator. The C-ELC resonators were designed to allow for a dual-band response achieving a radiation-to-AC conversion efficiency of 85% and 45% in the first and second bands, centered, respectively, at 2.9 and 5.1 GHz. The complementary electric-inductive-capacitive resonator array based harvester provided good radiation-to-AC power conversion efficiency, multipolarization harvesting, and dual-band feature.
