Tarek Elsarnagawy

Biography

 

 

 

Tarek Elsarnagawy was born in Cairo (Egypt) 1967; He achieved his bachelor degree in electronics and telecommunication from the faculty of engineering – Helwan University in Cairo in 1989. in 1990 he joined the technical university Braunschweig in Germany where got his German Diplom degree (M.Sc.) in electrical measurement technology in 1996. Since then he was employed as a scientist until 2000. In 2000 he finished his Ph.D. thesis at the TU-Braunschweig – Germany in fiber optic sensors for high precision measurements.

Dr. Tarek Elsarnagawy has many cooperations on scientific and research bases with institutes in Germany. He is also a regular faculty member at Helwan university – biomedical engineering department since 2000, as well as the chairman of the applied medical sciences department at RCC in King Saud university in Riyadh Saudi Arabia since 2004 until date.

Dr. Tarek is involved in several research projects funded by King Saud University in the fields of nanotechnology, fiber optic health monitoring systems and tissue engineering. He is a member of editorial board of the journal "biomedical engineering research" since 2008. Dr. Tarek has a list of publications in different ISI cited journals as well as in others and many contributions in international conferences related to BME and nanometrology. In addition, he also translated reference books in the fields of biomedical engineering and nano-technology to the Arabic language.
