Dr. Taisir Eldos, what I am doing now . . . |
| |
|
My wayrk, i mean work ...
Driven by the vision, mission and aims set in “My way”, we lead the process of crafting a new curricula for the college, which has the following programs:
-
Computer Engineering,
-
Software Engineering,
-
Computer Science,
-
Information Systems, and
-
Information Technology (soon)
We took the ABET accreditation requirements as a starting point, then we looked into what the most prominent schools have to offer in their most recent curricula. A point worth mentioning here is that the computer engineering programs around the world offer options that cover most of the areas save the storage media, which is currently playing a critical role in today’s life; this lead us to coin a new track; “Storage Technology”, winding up with the following concentration areas:
-
Digital Systems,
-
Network Systems,
-
Intelligent Systems, and
-
Storage Systems
We managed to have the following labs ready now:
-
Software Labs (200 workstations & variety of Software)
-
Digital Logic Lab
-
Electrical Circuits Lab
-
Electronic Circuits Lab
-
Control & Electric Drive Lab
In addition to that, the following labs will be ready soon:
-
Digital Communications Lab
-
Computer Mainetance Lab
-
Computer Networks Lab
-
Digital Systems Interfacing Lab
-
Embedded Systems Lab
Tender specs for the following labs are about to be announced:
-
High-Performance Workstations Lab
-
Digital Design (HDL) Lab
-
Robotics Lab
- Graduation Projects Lab
-
Programmable Logic Control (PLC) Lab |
