Dr. Taisir Eldos, why am I here ?  . . .

In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful As a faculty member and chairman of computer engineering at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), I helped thousands of students become successful engineers with promising career, many of them are now friends of mine and this is something I am truly proud of. Now, I am honored to serve another part of the nation; the one that holds the sacred mosques and protects Islam and its values. I joined the department of computer engineering as a head, with the following vision, mission and set of aims to carry out the mission towards our vision. Vision: To be the premier department for computer engineering in the nation and to establish regional recognition for academic excellence Mission: To provide for an environment where students, faculty, and corporate partners work together to produce highly qualified computer engineers, capable of assuming leadership to make significant contribution in business, education and research Aims: To carry out this mission, we will Provide for an environment where the students acquire and apply fundamental knowledge in physics, mathematics and computing related sciences. Promote the students’ ability to identify and formulate real-life problems and devise solutions by integrating hardware and software components. Foster the students' interpersonal and entrepreneurial skills and life-long learning, so they can provide vision and leadership in the workplace. Engage faculty, students and national entities in education and research activities.
