 Dr. Aljadhey is assistant professor at the College of Pharmacy, King Saud University where he serves as director of Medication Safety Research Chair. He received his baccalaureate degree from King Saud University and his doctor of pharmacy from Purdue University. He completed a residency with emphasis in medication safety/ambulatory care at Winchester Medical Center, Virginia. In 2008, Dr. Aljadhey earned his Doctor of Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the area of pharmacodepidemiology and medication safety.

 

Dr. Aljadhey’s research interests include pharmacoepidemiology and medication safety, prevention of medication errors, medication adherence, and applying pharmacy interventions to improve the appropriate use of medications. Dr. Aljadhey is leading an effort to enhance medication safety in Saudi Arabia through conducting research, providing training, and serving in committees. He serves in the pharmacovigilance committee at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority. He teaches didactic courses and precept students in an ambulatory clinic at King Khalid University Hospital.

    • Pharmacoepidemiology/pharmacovigilance and drug safety.
    • Prevention of medication errors. Safe use of medications.
    • Medication adherence. Social and behavioral aspects of pharmacy.
