Arch 453 Lighting & Acoustics

Introduction:

The goal of Arch 453:  Lighting and Acoustics is to develop an understanding of the nature, properties, behavior, and mathematics of light and sound and to apply this understanding to the build form to reach visual and acoustic comfort . It will cover the basic terminology and measuring units of lighting and acoustics, methods of design of lighting and acoustic systems (Lumen method, point by point method). Also, it includes room acoustics, sound insulation, mechanical vibrations and day lighting.
