Glabrous shrub with many branches ascending from the base up to 100 cm high and often broader than taller. Leaves linear oblong or elliptical, entire, acute, tapering at base to a short petiole up to 10 cm long. Flowering starts early in spring. Flowers in dense terminal cymes. Follicles linear, terete, tapering toward apex, often densely grouped, 5-10 cm long, containing several small seeds. Seeds shater and disperse in early summer |
