PPS 460
RANGELAND INVENTORY AND MONITORING
Course Content
PPS 460 Rangeland Inventory and Monitoring 2(1+1)
Main vegetation measurement (cover, density, frequency). Determination of preference and palatability. Determination of range carrying capacity and utilization. Range condition monitoring.
Course Objective
The aim of this course was make students acquainted with all measurements required for range inventories parameters.
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to:
· Have good knowledge of major methods of range vegetation measurements
· Be able to make wise comparison of different methods of measurements of a particular vegetation parameter

Students Assessment
Students will be assessed as follows:
- One mid term exam (30%)
- Field work reports (30%)
- Final exam (40%)
