أثر البرامج التدريبية على الأداء التدريسي لأعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة الملك سعود (دراسة تقويمية)
The study aimed to identify the impact of training programs offered by the Deanship of Skills Development (DSD) on teaching performance of faculty staff at King Saud University. The sample of the study consisted of (328) faculty members of which (214) were males and (114) were females.
The sample was survey based on questioner built in light of questions of study to know their opinions and benefits from training programs. Results were analyzed using frequencies, percentages, means and standard deviations, T-test, and one-way analysis of variance followed by scheffe posteriori comparisons.
The results revealed a high benefit to the faculty from the training programs provided by the DSD in the domains of planning, implementation, assessment and the use of technology in teaching. In addition, results showed that faculties perceive all programs are of a high degree of effectiveness. A statistically significant effect appeared due the number of training sessions attended by faculty favored who attended two or more sessions. On the other hand, no significant effect appeared on the degree of benefit from the programs according to faculty gender, years of experience and academic rank on. The study concludes with discussion and recommendations related to training programs.
