. I have worked in the field of wildlife conservation for over 25 years, beginning with a 9-year tenure at the prestigious Zoological Society of London. During this time, I gained considerable experience in wildlife conservation with a focus on spillover of zoonotic disease. I also have strong laboratory experience in diagnosing diseases that affect wild and domestic animals in Saudi Arabia using modern molecular techniques for disease diagnosis and phylogenetic analysis, including PCR and DNA sequencing. Since joining King Saud University, I have been involved in research projects dealing with bats and other mammals across Saudi Arabia. My contributions include: leading field work for sample collection and performing genetic investigations on the isolated organisms of Clostridiumperfringens in livestock in Saudi Arabia and comparing them with international strains of the organism; producing a vaccine against bacterial hemorrhagic septicemia of cattle and sheep; and performing serological and molecular characterization of the Coxiellaburnetti in on camel, ruminant livestock and gazelle samples in Saudi Arabia.
