NURS 521 Clinical Assessment in Psychiatric Mental Health

Focuses on therapeutic process with individuals experiencing psycho-social disturbances mostly in the clinical psychiatric facilities. The specific aim is a critical examination of the concepts and strategies which affect assessment of psychological behavior. Using an interpersonal approach, the students provide direct care to clients in a one-to-one relationship, emphasizing physical and mental health assessment, goal setting and evaluation.
