Academic Qualifications:
Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Science (Molecular Ecology), Faculty of Sciences, School of Biological Science, University of East Anglia, United Kingdom.
Title: Conservation biology and genomics of a flagship endangered species: the Mauritian pink pigeon Nesoenas mayeri. (I investigated conservation issues that limit the growth of the pink pigeon population, including infection with Trichomonas gallinae, biased sex ratios and the reduction in both reproductive fitness and life history traits. In particular, I examined the association between these issues in the pink pigeon and genome-wide genetic variation using 45,841 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) generated using restriction site associated DNA sequencing (RAD-seq).

Master of Science in Biodiversity, Faculty of Science, King Saud University.
Title: Reproductive functions in the Baboon female (papio hamadryas) commensal and wild in Saudi Arabia: (The aim of the study was to find out to what the extent of changes in nutritional mode had contributed to changes in reproductive functions of Papio Hamadryas. In particular, I compared the daily changes in hormones within the ovarian cycle of females in both wild and commensal groups. The results showed a significant increase in hormones in the commensal group, which may indicate that human nutrition contributed to increase the reproductive functions in commensal baboons.
