Dr. Jahangeer Ahmed was born in August 07, 1981 in a small village of India i.e. Lather Deva Sheikh near Roorkee, India. He finished his Master of Science in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2003 and Ph.D degree was awarded in Chemistry in 2011 (thesis submitted in 2010) from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. He worked as a research associate at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi from January 2011 to March 2011.

Afterward, he went to the United State of America (USA) and joined Department of Chemistry at the Michigan State University, USA as a postdoctoral Research Associate in April 2011. He worked over there from April 2011 – April 2013.

Thereafter, He moved to the University of Texas – RGV, USA and joined the Department of Chemistry as a postdoctoral Research Fellow. He worked over there from April 2013 to July 2014.

After finishing his postdocs, he joined the School of Technology at the Glocal University, Saharanpur, UP, India as an Assistant Professor in Chemistry from September 2014 to March 2016. Moreover, he served his duty as a chief Proctor of the Glocal University from November 2014 to July 2015. He also headed the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at the Glocal University from July 2015 to March 2016.

Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in Chemistry (College of Sciences) at the King Saud University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since March 2016.
