Reverse Engineering lab

 Reverse engineering(RE) is an efficient approach to significantly reduce the product development cycle.Reverse engineering shows promise in emerging applications such as mass production of customized devices & make to order manufacturing.Reverse Engineering can be defined as the process of retrieving new geometry from a manufactured part by digitizing and modifying an existing CAD model.It is the process of obtaining a geometric CAD Model from 3 D points acquired by scanning products. RE technology is not to copy an existing product but to acquire a design concept from an existing physical model and create a complete digital product model and further to optimize the product design

The reverse engineering lab houses an ultra precise equipment for measuring and digitizing like Zeiss Accura CMM with Vast XT Scanning Sensor, Vast XXT Scanning Sensor, Viscan Optical sensors.  A portable arm CMM with or without a laser line scanner is the other system for product digitizing. Thus the lab can offer an excellent accuracy of a bridge type CMM and the flexibility of an articulated arm CMM for RE.
