Bio: During my Ph.D time I worked on the synthesis of new amphiphilic poly(ionic liquid)s and their application in petroleum industry. Ammonium based poly(ionic liquid)s were synthesized due to their low cost compared to other families of ionic liquids and poly(ionic liquid)s. The synthesized poly(ionic liquid)s were applied in different petroleum industry applications such as demulsifiers for heavy crude oil emulsion, oil spill dispersant, corrosion inhibitors, and enhanced oil recovery. During my work in my PhD thesis, I tried to learn many preparation techniques such as silver and magnetite nanoparticles and their application in water treatment, epoxy coating, and oil spill remediation. After completing my Ph.D, I joined the Chemistry Department, King Saud University, Riyadh as an Assistant Professor. During last few years, Our work focused on the synthesize of new ionic liquids based on polymer wastes and modification of natural originated compounds and applied them in different industrial fields.

2. Summary of Achievements

Associate Professor of Chemistry with over 15 years of academic, research, and industrial experience. Authored an academic book on surfactants published by King Saud University Press, published more than 120 scientific research papers, and contributed to six U.S. patents in the areas of oil spill remediation, enhanced oil recovery, nanomaterials, and corrosion inhibition. Actively involved in applied research, technology development, and international scientific collaboration, with strong contributions supporting the research and innovation objectives of King Saud University.
