Strategic Planning in Health Care

This course is designed to provide the student with knowledge and practical skills of planning in the health care organization. The course starts with laying the background of planning. The course will then take the student through the strategic planning journey including organizing the planning team, analyzing the environment, developing the organizational direction and formulating the strategy. Implementation examples will be given and major planning process consideration will be discussed. The course will then go on to help the student realize the benefit of planning and understand methods to sustain it on the long term.
