Course Summary:
This course provides practice in social translation . Included are techniques in the tactics that should be followed to solve certain translation problems and in terminology acquisition and retention related to the social field. Every week a new text is introduced . Students are asked to translate it. This is followed by positive and negative remarks about the translation and the best way certain problems should be solved. Students get familiar with various social aspects and techniques related to it
Course Objectives:
- Get the message of the original text correctly and produce the same message accurately and concisely.
-Acquire structures , vocabulary, and idioms that occur frequently in the language of social texts.
-Conduct better management of time and ability to set priorities.
