Process Integration
- The main objective of the process integration center in the King Saud University is to carry out practical applications of the process integration (PI) tools to the existing chemical and petrochemical industries in the kingdom in the goal of minimizing water and energy use.

This will be accompanied by a review of existing air and waste water discharges policies practiced by different companies within the kingdom.

The general methodology to be practiced by the center, to achieve its objectives, is to first carry out a preliminary assessment of the current situation of the chemical and petrochemical sector in the kingdom in terms of resources usage such as water & energy as well as the emissions from such industries.

The center relies on close cooperation with the chemical and petrochemical sector in the kingdom to provide flow diagrams of process, data, current practices in water & energy efficiency and the existing guidelines used for gaseous and wastewater discharge.

The center applies state-of-the-art technologies to acheive its objectives.
