The title: “Grammatical Issues on which there is Consensus: Gathering, Categorizing, and Analyzing”

This study deals with grammatical consensus. Mainly trying to gather grammatical issues on which there are consensus, categorize them, and analyzes the extend of consensus. In arabic language, grammatical consensus between grammarians is one of the the main sources in deternining the rules of grammar.   

     Thus, this study reflects the solid and sound opinion among grammarins. This opinion is the uper level in arabic expression because it reflects the consensus of two groups: pure arabs who speak arabic naturally and grammarians who tried to put the rules of arabic language. In fact, this opinion becomes the tongue of arabic tribes every where and any different opinion is disregarded.   

     This study contains several sections. First section is the introduction which consists of the important, the goal, and the method of the sutdy. After that comes the diffention of grammatical consensus and the positions of those who have dealt with it. Then, the section of grammatical issues which are divied into three chapters: obligatory, permitted, and prohibited. The issues in every chapter are organized according to grammatical factors such as precede versus delay, identifiation versus denial, complication versus simplicity, and validity versus neglect. Last section is the conclusion which consists of summary, the rsults, and the recommendations of the sutdy.

     This study attempts not only to gather grammatical issues on which there is consensus between grammarians, but also tries to weight the extend of consensus in every issue. This, if course, requires the researcher's opinion.
