To provide the student with the necessary mathematical tools of analysis for the study of economics.

   Syllabus:

      ·       Introduction: calculus.

Matrix algebra, Matrices and system equations.

Calculus of multivariable functions, Implicit functions, indifference curves, and Euler theorem.
·      
Constrained and unconstrained optimization.
·      
Linear and nonlinear programming.
·      
Duality.
·       Differential calculus: first and second order.
