· Knowledge of different grammatical structures in English & Arabic (compound, complex sentences, phrasal verbs, tenses, etc.)
· Knowledge of different styles of reporting news in English & Arabic
? Description of the course :
The aim of the course is to teach students skills required for translating media related texts. It also introduces the various kinds of material related to media; media agencies; the terms and abbreviations used in the field of media; linguistics, stylistic and cultural aspects of the language of media.

? Expectations from students: You are expected to read Newspapers in both languages, know the terms related to media. Writing (in English & Arabic is VERY important).
