Q. Translate the following text. (20 pts)

Jeddah- The Council of Ministers yesterday welcomed the election of Michel Suleiman as the new president of Lebanon and expressed hope that his election would bring about a new era, strengthening the country’s unity and independence. In a statement issued after the Cabinet meeting, which was chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, the kingdom emphasized the need for protecting Lebanon from internal violence and foreign interference. Foreign Minister Prince Saud AlFaisal, who attended the election, congratulated President Suleiman for confidence vested in him by the Lebanese people and wished him every success in his new office.

During the Cabinet meeting, King Abdullah briefed the ministers on the outcome of consultative summit of GCC leaders in Dammam. Referring to the new development projects launched by King Abdullah in Jubail, Dharan and Dammam during his visit to the Eastern Province, the Cabinet said the projects reflect the Custodian’s policy of investing its resources for expanding infrastructure, service facilities and other development requirements. Culture and Information Minister Iyad Madani said the Cabinet meeting took a number of other important decisions.

أولاً: وافق مجلس الوزارء على التعاون في المجالات الصحية بين وزارة الصحة في المملكة العربية السعودية و وزارة الصحة و الإستهلاك في أسبانيا. و أبرز نقاط هذا التعاون:

تبادل المعلومات الخاصة بإعداد الكوادر الصحية و تدريبها و تبادل الخبرات في ذلك المجال.
إنشاء لجنة للتعاون في المجالات الصحية ، و تكون مرتبطة باللجنة السعودية الأسبانية المشتركة.

ثانياً: وافق المجلس على إتفاقية حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، و أبرز نقاط هذه الإتفاقية:

تتعهد الدول الأطراف بإحترام حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة دون تمييز من أي نوع على أساس إعاقتهم.
تتخذ الدول الأطراف جميع التدابير الضرورية لضمان حقوقهم و حمايتها.
تُقّر الدول الأطراف بحق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة في المشاركة في الحياة الثقافية مساواة بالآخرين.
