 ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

المؤهلات العلمية

    

- 2009: completed a doctoral dissertation on the impact of Howard Gardner’s research at Harvard University on intelligence and second language acquisition. The research study focuses on the relationship between theories of intelligence and language learning theories. 

- 2005:  M.A. (with honors) in education; Curriculum and Instructions, 2005, University of Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Research focused on improving the learning environment in the large classes of English as a foreign language through using technology and cooperative learning.     

  - 1977:  Graduate-level 2-year Diploma (with honors) Higher Proficiency Studies in  Written and 
Simultaneous Translation (English/Arabic/English), The American  University in Cairo, Egypt 1976.

  - 1975:  M.A., the preliminary year courses in Higher Studies in Linguistics and English literature, Cairo University, 1975. The focus of the studies was on linguistic structures from Bloomfield to Halliday, Chomsky’s transformation and generative grammar, criticism, poetry, and research methods.  

- 1974: B.A. in English literature, College of Arts, Cairo University, Egypt.
