Standard I
I. 1. Students read a wide range of print and non- print texts to build
an understanding of texts, acquire new information, and respond to the needs and demands of
society and the workplace.

ideas and questions.
1. 3. Students gather, evaluate, and synthesize data from a variety of sources.
I. 4. Students use a variety of information resources (e.g., libraries, databases, computer networks,
and video) to gather and synthesize information and to create and communicate knowledge.
Standard II: Foreign Language: Writing
II. 1. Students will extend their abilities to recognize that writing is a constructive and recursive
process.
II. 2. Students will write fluently and confidently for a variety of purposes and audiences, employing
appropriate formats.
