Objectives of the course:
This course aims at identifying the students to information networks and the means of building and managing them and the local and international agreements that govern their work. In addition, the course deals with the difference of the code systems of these networks, their entries and how to maintain their data. The course handles the information exchange through the lines, and through the use of the modems, etc.
Subjects: concept of communications
- Databases: application of the Access programs.
- Introduction to networks (their history, definition, our local network, benefits of networks, general parts of each network) network installation, with application of the software programs
- Protocols of information networks and measures of protection security
- Networks and interlocking and standard specifications
- Gulf network
- Internet
- Specialized articles on the networks and internet
Distribution of Marks
15 Marks Introduction to the modern subjects in the field of major to be defined by the subject lecturer
10 marks attendance and participation in the class (5 for attendance) (5 for participation)
10 marks costs to be defined by the subject lecturer
15 marks test to be defined by the lecturer
10 marks research in no more than 10 pages
40 marks final test
Lecturing:
Two students deliver a lecture on a certain subject to be defined by the lecturer, and the (PowerPoint) program shall be used to deliver the lecture

World Wide Web and its uses in the libraries and information centers
Effect of multimedia computer use and the free experiments in teaching the science students in the Jordanian University
Electronic Publication: study of the main issues relevant to the world of libraries and information
Design of an information system to teach the course in remote using computer
Research
The research shall not be less than 15 references that contain (books- periodicals- magazines) and other references and indicating these references in the footnote or the footnote list
