Determination of some heavy metals pollutant in zarga-river (Jordan) using atomic absorption spectrophotometer

Abstract:

Some heavy metals were analyzed to determine the effect of some industries in Zarga on the water of Zarga-river. the water sample were collected during a year and the measurements were taken by atomic absorption spectrophotometer(AAS)and results compared with World-Health Organization(WHO).I found in some places in the river the concentration of some heavy metals are larger than (WHO) standard.(heavy metals analyzed Hg,Cu,Zn,As,Fe,Mn,Ni,Co).finally, some recommendations were written.
