Biography
· PhD. in pharmaceutical sciences (Cairo University 1995).
· M.Sc. in pharmaceutical sciences ( King Saud University, 1991).
·BSc. in pharmaceutical sciences (King Saud University 1987).
Research Interests
Pharmacognosy/phytotherapy/natural product research (pharmaceutical biology) and ethnobotany:
. Isolation of naturally occurring compounds, particularly flavonoids, alkaloids, coumarins and phenolic acids from plants (wiled or cultivated), and fungi using different chromatographic methods
. Identification of the natural isolated compounds using different instrumental analysis and elemental analysis with cooperation with Dr. Derek J. Maitland and Dr. Nazira Karodia, Chemical and Forensic Sciences Dept., Bradford University, UK.
. Determination and isolation of the biological activity compounds from fungi (Pharmacological and microbial activities) with cooperation with Dr. Mohamed E. Zain, Medical Laboratory Sciences Dept., College of Applied Medical Science in Al-Kharj, King Saud University
