Research interests:

Formulation, characterization and evaluation of liposomes, niosomes, microemulsion and other colloidal drug delivery systems.

Evaluation and enhancement of dermal and transdermal absorption of drugs using chemical enhancers and vesicular delivery.

Application of differential scanning calorimetry to study the mechanisms of improved skin delivery of drugs after application of penetration enhancers or vesicular delivery carriers. This uses phospholipids liposomes or vesicles prepared from the stratum corneum lipids as model membrane.

Investigation of oral absorption of drugs in situ and in vivo in rabbits and in vivo in humans.

Enhancement of oral absorption of drugs.

Enhancement of ocular absorption of drugs

Evaluation of absorption and pharmacokinetic interactions of drugs.

Solubilization and stabilization of drugs.

Performing bioequivalence studies.
