OBJECTIVES:                

 Ability to analyze electric circuits using different circuits theorems and techniques.

DESCRIPTION:             

 Resistive circuits, circuits theorems, nodal and mesh analysis, maximum power transfer theorem, source free inductive and capacitive circuits, natural and forced response of RL and RC circuits, RLC circuits, sinusoidal natural and steady state response of RCL circuits, resonance, introduction to AC quantities.

PRE-REQUISITE       :     BMT 211

OBJECTIVES:

 Ability to understand different electronic components and their application in simple electronic circuits. Faults diagnosis.

DESCRIPTION:

 Electron tubes, photo multiplier tube. Concepts in solid state electronics, junction diodes, photo diodes and their spectral response. Zener diode, junction transistors, filed effect transistors. Transistor as amplifier, FET as variable resistor and switches.

Silicon controlled rectifiers (Thyristor), triac. Power supply and regulated power supply. Fault diagnosis of power supplies.
