Academic Qualifications:  *    1990-1992: Post-Doctoral Fellow, Department of     Animal Production, University of Queensland, Gatton College. Area of investigation:  Lipid transport in laying hens.

                                 *   1989 Ph.D: (Poultry Nutrition and Production) University of Queensland. Area of investigation: Calcium metabolism in broiler chickens. 

 

Positions:                             *   October 2004 - Now: Professor, Department of Animal    Production, College of Food and Agriculture Sciences, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia.

                                             *   June 2000 - October 2004: Associate Professor, Department of Animal Production, College of Food and Agriculture Sciences, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia.

                                            *   1995 - June 2000: Assistant Professor, Department of Animal Production, College of Food and Agriculture Sciences, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia.

Teaching Experience:         *   1995-present, Department of Animal Production, College of Food & Agriculture Sciences, King Saud University, Saudi Arabia.  Lecturer for Poultry Nutrition and Physiology Courses:, Poultry Nutrition (ANPR 420 ), Advanced Poultry Nutrition (ANPR 560), Poultry Physiology (ANPR 323), Advanced Poultry Physiology (ANPR 516), Poultry Production (ANPR 257), , Fertility and Hatchability (ANPR 566), Research and Seminar (ANPR 490) and Zooloogy (ZOO 102).

                                             *   Poultry Science Association, Queensland, Australia.

Work and Advising Experiences:              

                                            *  Provided supervision for numerous research, development and consultancy programs to the poultry industry in Australia and Saudi Arabia.

                                                             *   Provided support to the intensive livestock industry in the development and uses of a wide range of feed and health products in Australia and Saudi Arabia.

                                                          *  Provided teaching and supervision for numerous undergradute and postgraduate students.

                                            *  Liased with other research groups and  outside  organisations    over a wide range of research topics.  This included establishing and maintaining effective relationships, as well as keeping open channels of communication.

  Research Interests:         *   Interests include projects related to husbandry practices, management programs of the environment, nutrition and metabolism in poultry.  Investigations of primary interst related to utilizing animal waste products.  Other projects include investigations to performance of broiler breeder flocks, incubational environment of eggs, early post-hatch nutrition, and Development of least cost rations for poultry.

 Publications:                        * 65 professional papers and publications (See attachment A,  39 Journal articles, 21 conference proceedings, 5 books and     review articles).
